DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

This includes tests such as X-rays, Ultrasound scans (USS), Magnetic Resonance Image Scans (MRI scans) and CT scans. The cost of a basic X-ray is just £15 and the cost of other tests are available on requests.

PRESCRIBED DRUGS

These are medications that are ordered by doctors. Each prescription is unique for each patient. This means that its difficult to give a price list for everyone. BEEPEE Medical is happy to give an individualised price list for each and every patient provided that the patient forward their prescription to us. We are sorry that we do not accept online payment for prescribed drugs. Payments for prescribed medicines will have to be made into our HSBC Bank account.

GP CONSULTATION

The GP is the first point of contact for most of the patients. During the consultation the GP will take information from the patient about the illness. Then the GP will examine the patient and order some blood tests and diagnostic image testing if appropriate. The GP will try to come up with a diagnosis(cause of illness) and its treatment. Patients may continue to be seen by the GP or referred to the specialists. The GP is the right person to first see all patients regardless of their illnesses and make a decision about their further management. Patients cannot normally see specialists without being referred by the GPs.This means that all patients will need to be seen by the GP first before being referred to appropriate specialists if need be ,otherwise they will be managed by the GP without any need for referrals. BEEPEE Medical services will keep the relatives in UK informed of the outcome but we will not reveal the disease to relatives without permission from the patient.

FULL PACKAGE FOR PEACE OF MIND

The peace of mind package is for those who do want to be troubled each time the need for more money arises. This includes a GP consultation, Blood tests, Specialist Consultation if appropriate and X-rays if needed. BEEPEE Medical services will give you a breakdown of the services provided and the cost involved. We will refund any money that is not used.

SPECIALIST CONSULTATION

Specialists do not normally see patients without being referred by GPs. Our team of GPs will make the necessary referrals to specialists such as General Surgeons. Gynaecologists,Ophthalmologist(eye specialists), Orthopaedic Surgeons, Paediatricians, physicians, Urologists etc. All our specialists have admitting rights (allowed to admit patients) into the top private hospitals in Harare and Chitungwiza. We will arrange for you, admissions of your loved ones into the private hospitals and not forgetting to keep you posted.

BLOOD TESTS

Doctors can request several blood tests in order to reach a diagnosis (cause of illness) or use these tests to assess the effect of medication the patient might be taking. These blood tests may be basic such as Full Blood Count (FBC) which are often used to diagnose anaemia and infection in patients or special blood tests. Special blood tests may involve hormonal levels or functions of organs such as thyroid function tests or liver function tests. The type of blood test will determine the cost of blood test. Basic tests are cheaper than special blood tests.
