HIV TEST RESULTS

People living with HIV have many tests that the doctor will need to do periodically to assess their overall health, track the progression of the disease, and determine the best course of action for the patient's treatment. These tests also help the doctor to identify any risk factors the patient may have for other diseases.
Patients are encouraged to visit their doctors every 3 to 4 months for an evaluation and to discuss any recent test results. Identifying and evaluating potential problems early can help patient to better manage their health and any side effects of treatment.

Changes in sexual behavior appear to have contributed to the decline.

ADHERENCE IN TREATMENT

Patients who take their medication correctly achieve best results. BPMS Ltd encourages people living with HIV/AIDS to adhere to their treatment. The company is aware of some patients who stop taking their medication as soon as they start to feel well. They end up using the money meant for medications on non medical things. BPMS Ltd encourages the Zimbabwean Diaspora to take advantage of our services so that their family and friends are assured a constant supply of their medication.
Adherence, which refers to how closely patients follow a prescribed treatment regimen, can make the difference between life and death. Adherence has been shown to have an effect on how well antiretroviral medications(medications used to treat the HIV virus) stop HIV from reproducing. When a patient skip a dose of medication, the virus has the opportunity to reproduce, which it does very quickly. When this happens, the viral load (amount of HIV in blood sample) increases, which eventually could put the patient at risk for AIDS-related conditions and even death.
Adherence is so important in the treatment of HIV that researchers have found that optimal suppression of the virus requires 90% to 95% adherence. A lack of adherence also can cause drug resistance. When the virus makes copies of itself, it also can make copies that have mutations (a change in the form of HIV). Some of these mutations may be resistant to the medications a patient may be taking and render them useless.

ACHIEVE TREATMENT SUCCESS

The first treatment regimen has the best chance for long-term success, so it is very important for patients to take their medication correctly, right from the start.
BPMS Ltd has teamed up with HIV specialists in Zimbabwe who will offer a holistic approach to the treatment of the people living with HIV/AIDS. Specialists will make sure that patients are mental ready for treatment. They will put them in touch with support groups and counsellors and will make sure that patients become knowledgeable about HIV and the treatment there are about to start.

BPMS Ltd'S MOTO IS TO GET IT RIGHT FROM THE START!!

BPMS Ltd believes that there is hope for people living with HIV/AIDS.
